Description
A rakija tasting in Split is the classic Croatian way to start a stag night: four kinds of rakija, a local rakija expert and a ham and cheese platter for the group.
Rakija is Croatia’s traditional fruit brandy, and in Dalmatia it is on the table at every celebration – from weddings and family lunches to the first round of the night. During the rakija tasting, your expert pours four different rakijas and tells you what each one is made from, how it is produced and how locals drink it. Expect strong flavours and plenty of “živjeli!” (cheers).
The ham and cheese platter keeps the group going, and after about an hour you are ready for the bars and clubs of the Old Town. The rakija tasting starts at 16:00 and runs all year round.
Why book rakija tasting in Split with us
It is short, fun and very Croatian, works in any weather and costs from €45 per person. We plan it together with the rest of your weekend, so the tasting fits neatly before dinner and the night out.
Rakija is made from grapes (loza), plums (šljivovica), herbs (travarica) or walnuts (orahovac), and a good rakija tasting covers at least a few of these – ask your expert which one Dalmatians drink before lunch.
Make a full weekend of it: combine it with Craft Beer Tasting, Wine Tasting or a Traditional Croatian Meal. Not sure how to plan the weekend? Read our Split stag do guide.

Things to know
We understand that organizing a trip for a big group can be a challenging task. To assist us in arranging the best activities and accommodations for your group, please provide us with an approximate headcount and the maximum number of people who might attend.
In the event that the actual number of individuals in your group is less than your estimated number, changing your reservation will be easy. However, if the number of people in your group increases significantly, we may need to adjust your booking and itinerary to ensure that we have sufficient availability.
The initial deposit amount can differ depending on the details of your booking, but it typically ranges between 20-30% of the total cost. To determine the precise amount, we’ll need additional information about your stag do, such as the estimated number of participants, length of stay, and preferred activities. After we have this information, we can provide you with an exact deposit amount.
After agreeing on an itinerary that meets your preferences, we will request payment of the initial deposit to secure your booking. Once we have received the deposit, your booking will be confirmed.
We understand that organizing a stag do for a large group can be uncertain. That’s why we provide travel cancellation insurance to guarantee that if any member of the group is unable to attend, they will receive a refund.
At Split Stag Do, our top priority is to provide you with the best value for your time and money. We’ll consider your group size, budget, and interests to match you with the ideal accommodations and activities. Our trusted partners ensure a remarkable experience that you won’t forget.
We understand that arranging group trips can be demanding and time-consuming. But we are here to help alleviate the burden by taking care of challenging tasks and intricate details. With us, you can relax and enjoy your moment to the fullest.
The price partially includes travel expenses. You are responsible for booking and purchasing your own flight tickets while we can take care of all other arrangements, such as transportation from the airport to Split and any other necessary transfers for the activities listed in your itinerary.
All participants must be at least 18 years of age. Please be aware that, for certain activities, a valid ID or passport may be required to confirm your age.
